Arminta Johnson has served over 18 years of dedicated service in higher education financial aid and enrollment management, currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Financial Aid & Enrollment Operations at Lake-Sumter State College. In this role, she supervises multiple departments—including Financial Aid, Enrollment Operations, and Records —to achieve institutional enrollment goals while fostering a collaborative campus environment. Before taking on this role, she served as the Financial Aid Director at Lake-Sumter State College, where she ensured compliance with federal and state regulations, developed processing procedures, and contributed to enhancing the overall student experience through committee involvement. Her career includes roles as Associate Director of Financial Aid at Eastern Florida State College and Assistant Director at State College of Florida, where she developed expertise in team supervision, regulatory compliance, and process optimization. Arminta has served as Treasurer on the FASFAA board and multiple other committees. She finds service in the financial aid community very rewarding and encourages everyone to participate. Her certifications include being a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC) through NASFAA, obtained in July 2023, and completing Enrollment Management training with RNL in July 2023.
