This session will explore the Trailblazer Express Admissions Program, a partnership between the University of North Texas at Dallas, a public regional university, and select high schools that established a “home-grown” direct admissions program. The program is designed to empower underrepresented students by removing barriers in the college application process. The session will examine the program’s design and outcomes, along with both qualitative and quantitative insights. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from successes and challenges and hear about future plans, including a direct admissions program for transfer students.
