Bob Rarig has been working with pre-health-focused students since well before earning his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Michigan in 2010. He was first introduced to the concept of postbacc pre-health programs in 2012, when he taught hist first organic chemistry lectures for the University of Pennsylvania. Having gained appreciation for postbacc students' drive and maturity, he jumped at the opportunity to join Temple University's CST Postbaccalaureate Pre-Health Program when planning began in 2015. After 6+ years of growing in and out of the roles of curriculum consultant, organic chemistry instructor, Assistant Director, Associate Director, admissions committee member, Linkage Director, and Admissions Director, Bob has served as the Postbacc Program's Director since 2023. He loves working with postbacc students because they are willing to change, be it their career paths, academic approaches, perspectives, priorities, and/or all of the above and then some to have a positive impact on the world around them. Beyond work, Bob is a huge nerd in almost every way, a big sports fan -particularly football-, and believes in the healing power of dogs.
